Dr. Dan Kellams, DACM, FMP, L.Ac
Dan Kellams grew up in southern Indiana, where he attended Indiana University and then University of Louisville in Louisville Kentucky for sports sciences.
Dan went on to attend the acclaimed American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) where he received his training and studies in acupuncture, herbology, Tai Chi, Tui-Na (oriental massage) and Qi-Gong. Dan earned his Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2009. He completed his clinical internship at the prestigious Methodist Hospital in the Houston Medical Center where his passion for advanced integrative therapies grew. Dan earned his DACM specializing in integrative approaches in 2020.
Dan has been heavily involved in integrative, functional and restorative medicine for over a decade. He enjoys both being a clinician, an avid researcher and an educator in integrative therapies as well as proponent of whole body care strategies that focus on the central idea that “the power that made the body has the power to heal the body.” Aside from being the Wellness Coordinator at Peak Vitality in Denver Colorado, Dan also travels the country to consult, educate and coach other clinicians on auto-immunity, chronic illness and difficult health cases.
Dr. James Parsons, DC
Dr. James Parsons is a highly skilled and dedicated Chiropractor, with a career spanning nearly three decades. Dr. Parsons received his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from TCC and furthered his clinical skills with additional studies in nutrition, functional medicine and neurology. In 1994, Dr. Parsons embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, establishing three successful clinics in Houston, Texas (two clinics), and Denver, Colorado (one clinic). He works to make sure the clinics embody a holistic approach to health and wellness, offering a variety of comprehensive patient care including chiropractic, physical therapy, nutritional counseling, and functional medicine protocols.
Over the years, Dr. Parsons has treated over 10,000 patients, significantly improving their quality of life. With his extensive career and careful watch on patient outcomes, he has found that the most successful approach is through personalized treatment plans, which focus on patient wellness and disease prevention.
Dr. Parsons is not just a healthcare provider, he is also a business coach. He has mentored several dozen doctors over the years with their clinical and business skills set ensuring they continue to thrive and serve the community. He is a passionate healthcare advocate dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for his patients and healthcare providers.
Terra Heit, RN, MSN, FNP-C
After completing her undergraduate studies, Terra pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Her clinical experience began at Lutheran Hospital, where she worked in both Emergency Medicine and Labor and Delivery. To broaden her medical education, Terra went on to complete a Master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Family Medicine. She has since furthered her education with specialized training in Functional Medicine, learning to treat the root causes of chronic illness rather than just managing symptoms. She is also a trained RGCC (Research Genetic Cancer Center) provider, specializing in cancer support therapies such as SOT (Supportive Oligonucleotide Therapy) and various immune therapies. Her education extends to hormone optimization for both males and females, a growing field that emphasizes personalized, integrative approaches to restoring hormonal balance and improving overall health.
Outside of her professional life, Terra loves spending time with her family and friends and enjoying everything Colorado has to experience.
Darlene Iriarte, BA, CNTP
Darlene brings in the whole body connection as she shows how nutrition and lifestyle adjustments can positively affect health. Darlene focuses on education and coaching patients through personalized, food and lifestyle planning, nutritional deficiencies, as key components in her holistic health coaching and functional nutrition protocols.
Darlene has a BA in International Business and Spanish, and worked with international companies, focusing on process improvement, and relationship building. She changed career paths after trying to improve chronic health ailments, with little help from conventional medical health care practices. She focuses of the powers of nutrition and getting to the underlying cause of illness. This, plus raising two children on holistic wellness principles, was the motivation for becoming a Certified Nutritional Therapist Practitioner.
She is a member of Functional Nutrition and Micro-biome forums, has volunteered in community-based organizations, advocacy for neglected and abused children, tutored Spanish to students with developmental disabilities, and wellness education for underprivileged families in Hispanic communities.
Zack Gutman, MSTCM, LAc
Zack believes healing is a multi-dimensional approach and dynamic which includes many modalities available to evaluate and improve a person’s health. In his personal time, Zack enjoys hiking, gardening, cooking, practicing tai qi and qi gong, and playing table tennis and pickleball.

Shelley has been a member of Dr. Kellams’ team since July 2020 and has served as Executive Assistant for several years. In her role, she helps create a smooth, supportive experience for patients while also keeping daily operations running seamlessly behind the scenes.
She lives in Northern Colorado with her husband and their three children.

Living in Colorado with her husband and their dog, Kellsie thrives in the outdoors and enjoys a wide array of activities, including hiking, camping, skiing, and exploring the beautiful Colorado mountains. She also loves traveling, reading, working out, and photography. Kellsie is passionate about helping her clients and equipping them with the tools they need to build resilient, vibrant lives.
JJ Bograkos
Brooklynn Kupsak, CFMHC, LMT
Brooklynn believes deeply in the bodies ability to heal itself if given the appropriate support and lifestyle intervention. She is passionate about helping others learn how to listen to and support their bodies so they can live a life that is filled with vitality and optimal heath. One of her favorite quotes is “Be good to your body, Its the only place you will ever have to live!”
In her free time Brooklynn enjoys all outdoor activities, especially hiking and spending time at the quiet lake she grew up on. She loves doing yoga, lifting weights, attending her young teenage kids sporting events and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Aunna Johnson
After working in Biotech in San Jose, California, Aunna felt called to shift into the world of health and wellness. She has since worked as a Wellness Consultant in Functional Medicine and a Health Coach. She is certified in both Nutrition Coaching and Restorative Yoga, and brings a trauma-informed, holistic lens to her work.
Aunna has supported trauma survivors and worked as a behavioral technician coaching children with autism. Her work is rooted in a deep passion for spirituality, neuroscience, the subconscious mind, and functional medicine.
She believes in the healing power of love and the importance of fostering safe, connected communities where true transformation can take place.
Meghan Geisler
Meghan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and has completed training in Positive Psychology and Functional Mental Toughness. These specialized areas empower her to help clients develop resilience, empowering them to approach challenges with greater optimism and focus.
Her passion for health and wellness is rooted in personal experience. After overcoming her own health challenges, Meghan became her own advocate, a journey that led her to join Peak Vitality. Working alongside the knowledgeable, multidisciplinary team, she continues to expand her knowledge of the body’s remarkable healing abilities when properly supported. Meghan applies these insights to help clients achieve meaningful, lasting changes in their well-being.
Beyond her professional life, Meghan is an active wife and mother of two, balancing family, work, and personal wellness. She is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, and playing tennis with family and friends. At home, she finds joy in reading, yoga, weight training, meditation, savoring matcha tea, and cherishing quality time with loved ones.
Doug Minton, MD
Dr. Minton was born in Belle Fourche, SD, and grew up in Utah. He attended the University of Wyoming, and graduated with a B.S. in Zoology. He attended medical school at the University of Colorado’s Health Sciences Center, and began his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, which he finished in 1988. He has been a partner at Westside Women’s Care in Wheat Ridge, CO and Arvada, CO since that time. He is a past president of the medical staff at Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, CO. Dr. Minton is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as certified in Age Management Medicine through Cenegenics.
Dr. Minton encourages patient and family involvement with healthcare decisions, with a preference in lifestyle changes and natural therapies when at all possible. His personal philosophies towards healing and health align directly with Peak Vitality and the Premier Med Group. He started in private practice in 1988. Doug is married and has three children. He enjoys sailing, scuba diving, theater, reading and hiking with his family.
Ashlee Craig
As a lifelong athlete, Ashlee Craig developed an early appreciation for the connection between movement, nutrition, and overall wellness. As a Certified Health Coach, she helps clients uncover the root causes of their health concerns and create sustainable lifestyle changes that support long-term well-being.
Ashlee believes every client deserves an individualized approach. She enjoys educating and empowering others to better understand their bodies, build lasting habits, and feel confident in their health journey.
After spending eight years in Canada, Ashlee recently returned home to Colorado with her family. Outside of coaching, she enjoys golfing, staying active, attending country concerts, and most importantly, spending time with her daughter. Nothing is more rewarding to Ashlee than helping clients regain their energy, confidence, and quality of life.
Natalie Barrett
Natalie is a board-certified health and wellness coach, with an additional certification and training in functional medicine health coaching. She is passionate about helping others regain their health and well-being, as she too has been on her own health transformation journey utilizing functional medicine and integrative principles. Her own experience included a focus on nervous system regulation, hormone balancing, gut health, and improvement in many lifestyle factors. She believes that health and wellness encompass so many different areas of one's life and that everyone has their own unique needs that align with their own health goals. She loves learning and connecting with others, and this role allows her to experience both on a deep level.
She’s originally from Wisconsin and has a prior professional background in medical device sales, working in the conventional medicine cancer space for over 15 years. When not coaching, she spends a lot of time with her husband, two children, and their animals on their farm in South Dakota. She and her family love being outdoors hiking, fishing, biking, and horseback riding. She also enjoys cooking, reading, and connecting with extended family and friends.
Rachel Heun, MS
Rachel Heun, MS, is a nutrition expert with a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Food Studies from Montclair State University. She began her career working as a nutritionist at a local gym in New Jersey, where she supported a diverse range of clients—from professional and high school athletes to individuals simply looking to improve their overall health.
Rachel later transitioned into the corporate nutrition space, working as a Nutrition Scientist at Danone, where she specialized in substantiating product claims through scientific research. She then moved to Colorado and continued her career remotely with GNC as a Product Design Manager, developing innovative supplements including probiotics and greens powders.
After connecting with Dr. Dan, Rachel returned to her true passion—working directly with clients—and now serves as a Health Advisor at Peak Vitality. In addition, she is the co-founder of Skin Shield Pro, a supplement company she created with her husband, Conor, designed to help combat sports athletes prevent common skin infections.
Rachel is deeply passionate about helping individuals feel their best through personalized, science-backed approaches. She is an avid researcher who regularly reviews the latest studies on PubMed to stay at the forefront of functional medicine and nutrition science. Outside of work, she enjoys playing tennis, hiking, reading, and spending time with her family.
Kanani Haupt
Kanani was born and raised in Colorado and has always been passionate about health, wellness, and helping others achieve their fullest potential. She earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in both Exercise Physiology and Nursing, combining her love for movement, fitness, and evidence-based healthcare into a well-rounded approach to patient care. Before becoming a Registered Nurse, Kanani spent many years as a fitness instructor, helping individuals build strength, confidence, and healthy lifestyle habits. She began her nursing career in the hospital setting, where she gained valuable clinical experience and developed a deeper understanding of the complexities of health and healing. Through her work, she discovered a passion for helping people look beyond symptom management and explore the many factors that contribute to true wellness and vitality. Kanani’s commitment to holistic health also inspired her to create a natural skincare brand focused on healing and non-toxic solutions, reflecting her belief that what we put on our bodies is just as important as what we put in them. She is continually learning and expanding her knowledge of functional medicine, integrative health, and the many interconnected aspects of well-being. As a mother of three daughters, Kanani understands the importance of balancing health, family, and everyday life. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, staying active, exploring Colorado with her family, and continually seeking new ways to support a vibrant and healthy lifestyle. She is passionate about empowering patients with the knowledge, tools, and support they need to take an active role in their health journey and achieve lasting wellness.
