Dr. Dan Kellams, DACM, FMP, L.Ac

Dan Kellams grew up in southern Indiana, where he attended Indiana University and then University of Louisville in Louisville Kentucky for sports sciences.
Dan went on to attend the acclaimed American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) where he received his training and studies in acupuncture, herbology, Tai Chi, Tui-Na (oriental massage) and Qi-Gong. Dan earned his Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2009. He completed his clinical internship at the prestigious Methodist Hospital in the Houston Medical Center where his passion for advanced integrative therapies grew. Dan earned his DACM specializing in integrative approaches in 2020.
Dan has been heavily involved in integrative, functional and restorative medicine for over a decade. He enjoys both being a clinician, an avid researcher and an educator in integrative therapies as well as proponent of whole body care strategies that focus on the central idea that “the power that made the body has the power to heal the body.” Aside from being the Wellness Coordinator at Peak Vitality in Denver Colorado, Dan also travels the country to consult, educate and coach other clinicians on auto-immunity, chronic illness and difficult health cases.

Jennifer Gibbons, RN, MSN, FNP-C

Jennifer is a native Houstonian and attended UTMB for her Bachelors in Nursing, UTHSC Houston for her Masters in Nursing and then became a board certified family nurse practitioner. She has over 25 years experience in nursing and has worked in various areas. Jennifer is a breast cancer survivor who used her diagnosis to redirect her career path into one of health and wellness. Her mission in life is to help people build lifelong habits that will create physically, emotionally, spiritually and strong human beings. Since starting her career at Peak Vitality as a health and wellness coach, Jennifer works with clients under a functional medicine framework, pursuing progress over perfection, so that steps they make to improve their health are sustainable and lifelong. She combines evidence-based practice modalities including functional medicine, supplementation, nutritional and lifestyle recommendations to achieve results. She is passionate about helping others realize their innermost potential and her greatest desire is to see people optimizing their health and reversing disease. When not working to help empower others to create and live their best life, she is living hers by teaching Jazzercise, traveling or spending time with her family and friends.

Darlene Iriarte, BA, CNTP

Darlene brings in the whole body connection as she shows how nutrition and lifestyle adjustments can positively affect health. Darlene focuses on education and coaching patients through personalized, food and lifestyle planning, nutritional deficiencies, as key components in her holistic health coaching and functional nutrition protocols.
Darlene has a BA in International Business and Spanish, and worked with international companies, focusing on process improvement, and relationship building. She changed career paths after trying to improve chronic health ailments, with little help from conventional medical health care practices. She focuses of the powers of nutrition and getting to the underlying cause of illness. This, plus raising two children on holistic wellness principles, was the motivation for becoming a Certified Nutritional Therapist Practitioner.
She is a member of Functional Nutrition and Micro-biome forums, has volunteered in community-based organizations, advocacy for neglected and abused children, tutored Spanish to students with developmental disabilities, and wellness education for underprivileged families in Hispanic communities.

Bruce Ayers, L.Ac

Bruce spent his early adult years as a building contractor in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. He settled in Jackson Wyoming to become a fishing, hunting and snowmobile guide. All the while, Bruce continued his first aid & back country trauma training. With the support of his wife and three daughters, Bruce completed Respiratory Therapy school and practiced for 21 years in this profession. In 1999 Bruce entered Acupuncture school and was granted a Masters in Oriental Medicine in 2004. Bruce uses his accumulative experiences with nature along with his formal training to help patients, friends and family achieve their health goals.

Jason H. Duong, MSTCM, L.Ac

Jason uses acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, and tui na massage to help his patients find relief. His experience with martial arts gives Jason an in-depth perspective of Musculoskeletal issues and his practice of Tai Qi and Qi Gong give him a deep understanding of internal medicine concerns.
In his personal life, Jason enjoys being active with hiking, exercise, and continuing his martial arts practice. Recently, his wife and himself started a non-profit Chinese Dragon and Lion Dance association to help preserve culture, service the community, and mentor young adults.

Shelley Leigh

Shelley is a native to Colorado, where she began her career in the healthcare field in 2006. Throughout her many years of experience she has developed skills not only in the reception and front desk roles but also assisting Doctors in patient care and procedures. Along the way she discovered that healthcare was a passion of hers and she loves being a part of a team helping patients to achieve their health goals.
She has been working with Dr. Kellams’ since July 2020 and has recently moved into the position of Executive Assistant for the practice. She facilitates patient flow and ensures a smooth treatment process for both patients and team members alike.
Shelley and her husband live in Northern Colorado with their 3 young children.

Brittany Goonan

Brittany has been passionate about health and wellness for over a decade, making it her lifelong mission to learn everything there is about health and healing. She has worked for naturopaths, acupuncturists, and chiropractors – with an emphasis on holistic healing and finding the root cause of disease. Brittany has her holistic health coaching certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which focused on whole-body holistic healthcare and a bio-individual approach to wellness. Whether it’s to focus on physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual heath – Brittany’s passion in life is to be of service to those around her and help facilitate healing in any way she can.
In her spare time, Brittany enjoys hiking, sun bathing, sauna sessions, making and selling her butterfly artwork, and spending quality time with her loved ones. A favorite quote of hers she’d like to leave you with is, “When life is sweet, say thank you and celebrate. And when life is bitter, say thank you and grow.”

In her freetime, she loves spending time with her two children and husband of 15 years. She spends a lot of time focusing on her well-being which includes running marathons, lifting heavy weights, reading the most recent bestseller or memoir, studying nutrition and psychology, traveling, and helping others.
Her life motto is “Patience, Persistence, and a Positive attitude will always Produce results.”

Doug Minton, MD

Dr. Minton was born in Belle Fourche, SD, and grew up in Utah. He attended the University of Wyoming, and graduated with a B.S. in Zoology. He attended medical school at the University of Colorado’s Health Sciences Center, and began his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, which he finished in 1988. He has been a partner at Westside Women’s Care in Wheat Ridge, CO and Arvada, CO since that time. He is a past president of the medical staff at Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, CO. Dr. Minton is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as certified in Age Management Medicine through Cenegenics.
Dr. Minton encourages patient and family involvement with healthcare decisions, with a preference in lifestyle changes and natural therapies when at all possible. His personal philosophies towards healing and health align directly with Peak Vitality and the Premier Med Group. He started in private practice in 1988. Doug is married and has three children. He enjoys sailing, scuba diving, theater, reading and hiking with his family.
